The International Wine Challenge, the world’s most influential, impartial and rigorously judged global wine competition, announced the results of its 2025 competition last Thursday, now in its 41st year. The results demonstrated how France is still the benchmark of elegance with its key regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne individually won more gold and total medals than most countries. France won a total of 1,039 medals this year, including 94 golds and 402 silvers – cementing its place as the epicentre of fine wine.
